Dial: silvered dial marked with retailer Oscar Fresard, Lucerne, with diamond-set hands, radial roman numeral indices, outer white gold minute track, and feuille hands

Movement: s/n; 3000, caliber 17 ligne, 18 jewels, all adjustments. Obtained the Poincon de Geneve quality seals on July 13, 1928 and is from a batch of 3 (2999 - 3001).

Skinner's Description; Niton Platinum and Diamond Open-face Watch, retailed by Oscar Fresard, Lucerne, c. 1925, silvered dial marked with retailer, diamond-set hands, radial roman numeral indices, outer white gold minute track, and feuille hands, onyx-set crown, rhodium-plated Côtes de Genève decorated 18-jewel, stem-wind, stem-set movement, stamped twice with Seal of Geneva quality marks, dia. 43.5 mm, 50g.

Provenance: According to the consignor this timepiece belonged to Benjamin Percival Schulberg, a Hollywood movie producer in the 1930s-1940s. He was the father of Budd Schulberg, who wrote, among other works, On the Waterfront. Ben's initials "BPS" are on the back in diamonds. Estimate $2,000-4,000
