Bedeutende, flache Frackuhr mit ewigem Kalender und Mondphase - Sonderanfertigung - verkauft am 19. April 1929 an Monsieur le Docteur Lehnoff für 10.000 Francs - mit Breguet Stammbuchauszug Nr. 4453 Geh.: 18Kt Weißgold, gebürstet, Gehäuseform "Murat", polierter Druckboden. Ziffbl.: Silber. Werk: Brückenwerk, Goldschrauben-Komp.-Unruh. Dr. Friedrich Karl Lehnhoff Wyld war ein hervorragender Mediziner und Neurochirurg, Wissenschaftler, Erfinder, Musiker (Pianist und Komponist) und multilingualer Deutsch-Guatemalteker. Es war einer der ersten Erfinder von löslichem Kaffee, entwickelte das Antibiotikum Sulfarsenol und arbeitete an der Technik des Films. Dr. Friedrich Lehnhoff war ein Mann von ungewöhnlichen Kreativität, war vielfach höchst gebildet und beherrschte vier Sprachen. Er war ein versierter Pianist und war Jurymitglied bei nationalen Musikwettbewerben. Durch seine wissenschaftlichen Verdienste und Erfindungen wurden ihm zahlreiche Ehrungen zuteil, darunter mehrere Medaillen bei Weltausstellungen. Von der französischen Regierung erhielt er die Auszeichnung "Ritter der Ehrenlegion". Dr. Friedrich Karl Lehnhoff wurde in Guatemala Stadt am 9. Mai 1871, als Sohn des Reichskonsuls Eduard Christian Bernhard Lehnhoff und Dolores Wyld Quiñónez, geboren. Als Kind wurde er nach Dresden geschickt und erhielt dort seine Ausbildung. An der Universität Berlin erwarb er seinen Doktortitel mit Auszeichnung. 1893 kehrte Lehnhoff nach Guatemala zurück. An der Universität von San Carlos wurde er zum Professor ernannt und unterrichtete Chirurgie und Neurochirurgie. Kurz nach der Jahrhundertwende heiratete er Isabel Wyld Viteri, mit der er vier Kinder hatte. Für eine Weile lebte das Paar in San Francisco, Kalifornien und widmete sich dem Studium der Kieferchirurgie und Gesichtsrekonstruktion. Das Paar zog nach Paris und Saint-Cloud, wo der Bruder seiner Frau, der Pianist und Komponist Alfredo Wyld, lebte. Hier traf Lehnhoff große Musiker, Künstler und andere Persönlichkeiten der kulturellen Elite. Dr. Lehnhoff starb am 8. Dezember 1932 in Nizza. Dr. Friedrich Karl Lehnhoff Wyld - a multilingual German Guatemalan - was an extremely gifted physician and neurosurgeon, scientist, inventor, pianist and composer. He was one of the first inventors of instant coffee and developed the antibiotic Sulfarsenol. Dr. Friedrich Lehnhoff was a man of remarkable creativity who was extremely well educated and spoke four languages. He was an accomplished pianist and often served as member of the panel at national music competitions. For his scientific research and inventions he was honoured with a number of awards such as medals at International Fairs. France awarded him the title of Knight of the Legion of Honour. Dr. Friedrich Karl Lehnhoff was born in Guatemala City on May 9, 1871; he was the son of Consul Eduard Christian Bernhard Lehnhoff and Dolores Wyld Quiñónez. He was sent to Dresden for his education at a young age. He received his doctorate with distinction at the University of Berlin and returned to Guatemala in 1893, where he became professor at the University of San Carlos and taught surgery and neurosurgery. Shortly after the turn of the century Lehnhoff married Isabel Wyld Viteri; the couple had four children. The family lived in San Francisco in California for a while where Lehnhoff studied oral surgery and facial restoration. Later the couple went to stay in Paris and Saint-Cloud - this was where the brother of Isabel, pianist and composer Alfredo Wyld lived. In France Lehnhoff frequently met with famous musicians, artists and other figures of the cultural elite. Dr. Lehnhoff died on December 8, 1932 in Nice.
